Soft landscaping for private gardens in Hampshire and Surrey
New lawns, borders, hedging and specimen trees, planted by a family-run contractor that treats your garden with the same care as a client's development.

A garden that looks right from the first season
Good soft landscaping is mostly what you do not see: the soil, the preparation and the right plant in the right place.
We plant private gardens of every size, from a new border to the complete soft landscaping of a new home. Because most of our work is on new-build developments, we are used to gardens that start as compacted builders' ground, and we know how to turn that into soil that plants will establish in.
We work either to a garden designer's planting plan or to a scheme we put together with you, choosing plants for structure, seasonal interest and the amount of upkeep you actually want to do.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a garden designer first?
Not necessarily. If you have a designer's plan we will plant to it exactly. If not, we can put together a planting scheme with you based on the space, the soil and how you want to use the garden.
Do you do hard landscaping, such as patios and fencing?
Our specialism is the soft landscaping: soil, planting, lawns and hedging. We regularly work alongside hard landscapers and can coordinate with yours so the planting follows the paving and fencing in the right order.
When is the best time to plant?
Autumn and spring are ideal for most planting and turf, but with the right preparation and watering we plant through much of the year. We will advise what suits your garden and your timescale.
Will you look after the garden afterwards?
Yes, if you would like us to. Many clients ask us for an establishment visit or two while new planting settles in, and some keep us on for regular maintenance.
Which areas do you cover for private gardens?
Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire are our core areas for private work, including Fleet, Farnborough, Camberley, Farnham, Guildford, Basingstoke and Reading. Further afield is often possible for larger gardens.
